Students provide water safety cover during filming of 'The Lighthouse' film
Students and staff from the Outdoor Faculty worked with a film crew last week to provide safety cover for the water based scenes of 'The Lighthouse' filmed at the seafront and Cardiff Bay. The IRB safety boats crewed by current second years Mary Finn from the UK, Ben Chin from Singapore and Jonas Totland from Norway, and lifeguard staff Alun Wood and Michel Creber stood by watchfully and followed the replica pilot cutter row boat as the film crew shot scenes during the day. The day passed without a rescue incident, and the film crew from Cardiff were very pleased with the outcome of the shoot.
